Welcome
The Madden Women's Association (MWA) was founded in 1983 and is comprised of approximately forty dedicated women who enjoy playing golf. Madden Golf Course in Dayton, OH has served as the home course for the Madden Women's Association since the organization's founding.
The mission of the Madden Women's Association is two-fold: 1) To provide financial support for continuing education through annual scholarship awards to graduating African-American female high school and currently enrolled college students and 2) To provide financial and active support for the Greater Dayton Youth Golf Academy. MWA will host its 25th annual Invitational Golf Tournament on Saturday June, 4, 2011. Contact MWA for registration or sponsorship information.
Prior to retiring, Pete Brown (seated) served as Head Golf Professional at Madden Golf Course for over 20 years. He was the first African American to win a PGA Tour event, the 1964 WACO Open. Pete played on the PGA tour for 17 years.
